Features & Applications

Friterm FCW series condensers are manufactured for outdoor installation and operation without considering additional external pressure losses.

  • Fans are arranged in single-row configurations from 2 to 10 fans, and double-row configurations from 4 to 20 fans
  • Capacity range: 78 to 2095 kW
Coil Features
  • Staggered tube arrangement
  • Internally grooved copper tubes with aluminum fins, specifically designed for condenser applications
  • Fin spacing: 2.1 – 2.5 mm (other fin spacing options available)
  • Compatible with refrigerants such as R404A, R507, R134a, R407A, and R407C (capacities based on R404A)
  • Tube-to-tube sheet contact is eliminated by using a combination of backward-leaning tube supports and a free floating tube sheet system, ensuring leak-free long service life
  • Copper headers and inlet/outlet connections
  • Air vent / service valve on inlet header
  • Standard test pressure: 34 bar (PED 2014/68/EU compliant)
Casing
  • Robust condenser structure suitable for installation on steel or concrete surfaces without additional support construction
  • Galvanized steel casing with epoxy-polyester electrostatic powder coating, providing excellent UV resistance and corrosion protection
  • Standard color: RAL 7044
  • Each fan section is separated by sheet metal partitions to prevent reverse rotation of idle fans
  • Lifting lugs and mounting feet are included in all models

Fans
  • High-efficiency axial fans with diameters of 500 / 630 / 800 / 910 mm from Ziehl-Abegg, ebm-papst or equivalents are used in suction airflow configuration.
  • Standard fans (500 / 630 / 800 / 910 mm): 400V / 3Ph / 50 Hz, dual-speed
  • EC speed-controlled fans are optional
  • Variable speed control can be achieved using frequency inverters and all-pole sine filters (for external rotor motors)
  • All motors are equipped with built-in thermistor protection
  • Motor protection class: IP54; insulation class: F
  • Operating temperature range: -40°C up to +50°C / +65°C
  • Depending on fan type and operating conditions, designs up to +75°C are possible for standard fans
  • Special fan and motor options are available for high ambient temperature applications
  • Fan blades are aerodynamically optimized for maximum airflow
  • Protective fan guards are standard
