Hermetic compressors are compact compressor types in which the motor and compressor assembly are enclosed within a fully sealed, airtight housing, completely isolating the system from the external environment. This design ensures a closed refrigerant circuit while providing high reliability and long service life due to protection against external influences. Since the motor and compressor share the same sealed casing, hermetic compressors operate on a replaceable unit principle rather than field serviceability.
